Alastair Adamson

Electricity Industry Member: Alastair Adamson

Alastair has been employed in the UK Transport and Energy sectors for more than 40 years, providing Telecommunications services and solutions.

As Telecommunications Group Head of ScottishPower Power Systems, Alastair was instrumental in re-establishing their Strategic Operational Core Business Scada and Telecommunications group.

After 25years service with ScottishPower, Alastair retired in 2003 with the intention of improving his golf and learning to sail. However, being unable to resist a challenge, Alastair joined the Electricity Association (EA) in the spring of 2003 to co-ordinate the Telecommunications (ETUG) activities. When EA was replaced by the Energy Networks Association (ENA) in the autumn of 2003, Alastair provided the necessary stewardship of ETUG and associated activities to ensure a seamless transition from EA to ENA.
